Liam CHEEK

Shooter

Liam began shooting in 2007 at the RGS Guildford under the expert supervision of Jon Underwood and Archie Whicher.  During that time he represented Surrey and Inter-County Junior small-bore teams and the full-bore UK Cadets team.

After leaving school Liam continued his shooting with his university and the Old Guildfordians. He has was part of the winning Ireland Under 25 Home Countries team in 2013, has two National caps and a European Long Range Championships under his belt. This will be Liam’s first touring opportunity and he is hoping to take his GBU25s experience with him when he next tours with the Irish in 2017.

Outside of shooting, Liam has enjoyed many years playing rugby for local clubs but more recently the Exeter Engineers team. He also enjoys catching up with friends and family. Liam is currently working towards a chartered accountancy qualification at KPMG which he is completing alongside his studies at Exeter University.
