Gareth DAVIES

Coach

Gareth started shooting at the age of 13 at Gresham’s School. He took to the sport quickly, and whilst at school made all three cadet tours to Jersey, South Africa and Canada, as well as the Gresham’s biannual tour to Trinidad and Jamaica.

Whilst at school, he shot for England in the National Match and was a member of a record equalling Ashburton team. He also attained his 2nd England cap in 2014 with the record scoring National team. During his time at the University of Warwick he toured Australia with the 2011 GBU25 team, and also to South Africa with the senior GB team. He balanced this with studying Civil Engineering, running the University Rifle Club and was head of drum kit for the Drumming Society. 

Gareth is currently the 2 i/c for the Epsom College Rifle Team, as well as teaching in Learning Support. He has never toured America before, but the last time he was there he thought a giant pretzel was covered in sugar not salt!
